This workshop will teach you how to make your own safe and effective herbal teas, infusions, oils, tinctures and poultices using some of the plants that grow freely around us. We will also discuss how to incorporate beneficial herbs into your everyday cooking.

Many common ailments can be safely treated at home, using wild or cultivated herbs. We can also boost our immune systems and fight infection by including herbs in our diet. Participants will leave with enough knowledge and confidence to start using herbal remedies immediately to assist with treating many common minor ailments.

Join me at The Herb Garden where we will start by identifying some of the most important native Irish wild medicinal herbs and learning about their beneficial properties. The identification session will be followed by a practical demonstration on the various methods I use to make medicinal herbal teas, infusions, oils, tinctures and poultices, using both fresh and dried herbs.

You will have an opportunity to taste a range of herbal teas. Bring your own keep cup if you have one.
